Warradale FC was formed as Warradale District Soccer Club in 1983 by our ‘founding
mothers’ – Anita Reynolds, Rene Colyn and Jenny Whitehouse. The 3 ladies formed the
club due to the many women and children in the local area who wanted to play soccer and
represent the local community rather than travel into Penrith and Camden to play.
The first team to represent the community was an all age ladies team in 1984 and this
soon evolved into kid’s teams and men’s teams.
The name Warradale comes from the merger of Warragamba and Silverdale into one
locality ‘Warradale’.
The club’s home ground has been Waterboard Oval and is located on Production Avenue,
Warragamba. However for one season in 1996 Warradale played their home games at
Badgeries Creek as Waterboard Oval was going through some much needed upgrades to
the playing surface.
The club’s colours have always been Royal Blue and White, our primary strip is
predominantly royal blue jerseys with white shorts and blue socks and the alternative
strip is predominantly white with white shorts and blue socks.
Traditionally Warradale has welcomed players from Warragamba, Silverdale, Werombi
and Wallacia. More recently the club has welcomed players from Mulgoa, Luddenham,
Bringelly and Glenmore Park..

The club always has and will continue to maintain a community and family orientated
culture. The club has always welcomed players from all walks of life, all abilities and the
club has always viewed itself as an inclusive club, not exclusive.
The club has a reputation of players who are 2nd and 3rd generation players currently
playing at Warradale.
The club has long been known for acknowledging the many other sports codes in the local
area. The club never has and never will be in the business of poaching talent from the
other sports codes and instead we at Warradale embrace the many different sports
available in our local area. We are however passionate about providing a club that all
people who want to play soccer play at Warradale FC.
Our recent collaboration with Warragamba Netball Club for a trivia night in July 2018
further highlights the club’s desire to work with other sports clubs in the local area and
continuously improve our club’s image to the local community.
